Healthcare providers now have a new reference for health indicators, thanks to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Called the Health Indicators Warehouse, the new service is a collection of about 1,200 health indicators from almost 200 data sources to support researchers, technology developers, and policymakers. Examples include:

  • life expectancy
  • mortality
  • disease incidence or prevalence, or other health states
  • health behaviors
  • health risk factors
  • physical environments
  • socioeconomic environments
  • health care access, cost, quality, and use

The site is available at http://healthindicators.gov/.
