As you probably realize, the PQRS reporting period is right around the corner. That means, right now, many healthcare teams are scrambling to prepare. Quality reporting is stressful. Teams are usually short on time and resources – and that makes tackling a large number of records in a limited timeframe difficult. As you think about how your team will pull together the necessary data and find the man hours to complete reporting tasks, consider these numbers related to quality reporting and Primaris:
$15.4 billion – This is the amount of money medical practices spend annually on quality measure reporting.
3/17/17 – March 17, 2017 is the deadline for submission of PQRS data through Web interface.
800 – This is the number of man hours it typically takes Primaris’ team of abstractors to handle the workload of a single client. Have you allocated 800 hours for your reporting?
30,000 – In the first quarter of 2016, Primaris completed more than 30,000 GPRO abstractions. This was in addition to normal core measures and registry abstractions.
28% - A mere 28 percent of surveyed practices said they make quality improvements based on their quality reporting scores. What this number shows is that by the time most teams get through the quality reporting process, they are too drained to apply what they’ve learned. Unfortunately, that means reporting insights are wasted and the entire process fails to lead to actual improvement.
800-735-6776 ext. 114 – This is the number to call Primaris for help with PQRS and GPRO reporting. It can be challenging to understand all the measures and their latest requirements, and reporting errors can be costly. If the burden of reporting is overwhelming, you don’t have to struggle through the process on your own. Give Gayle Burton a call at 800-735-6776 ext. 114.
Speaking of numbers, here are three reasons you should rely on Primaris for PQRS abstraction:
- Primaris has connections. If you have gone through the reporting process before, then you know how difficult it is to get questions answered or find the information you need from CMS. There isn’t a simple way to make a call and get your PQRS question answered when you are dealing with CMS. But, because Primaris has extensive experience working with CMS, we’re not only knowledgeable, we are also well-connected and able to easily track down hard-to-find info.
- Primaris has experience. As you saw in one of the points above, Primaris completed more than 30,000 GPRO abstractions in the first quarter of 2016 alone. That’s right, this isn’t our first rodeo. We have a lot of experience under our belt, and our abstractors are highly-trained experts. And after all, isn’t it easier to leave reporting to the experts so you can maintain focus on serving your patients?
- Primaris has the tools. We recently updated our PQRS/GPRO abstraction tool. In doing so, we streamlined the abstraction process. Our abstraction tool was custom built for our professional abstractors to support the unique requirements of GPRO reporting efforts. Our customers like the tool, in part because it allows them to review their scores in real time as abstractors are abstracting records.
