Hospital Quality Reporting Measures Snapshot

Posted by Revee White on Nov 25, 2014 9:22:00 AM

Find me on:

In September, we broke down the quality reporting changes for you in Quality Reporting in 2015: What does it look like. Our first handout detailed what's old, new and new again with the Hospital Inpatient Quality Reporting Program.

Earlier this month, The Joint Commission (TJC) and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) made more changes to the Hospital Inpatient and Outpatient Quality Reporting programs. We have updated our handouts to reflect the (hopefully) final changes.

These handouts detail voluntary, required, removed, chart-abstracted vs electronic measures for both CMS and TJC. The new handout also includes an inpatient crosswalk and an outpatient crosswalk.

We also shared a summary of new measurse and New Resources for Inpatient Psychiatric Facilities Quality Reporting Program earlier this week.

As required and optional measures continue to change, Primaris, a core measures abstraction vendor, has the flexiblity to absorb your hospital's quality measure abstraction changing needs. See the full list of core measures and registries we abstract.
