The Inpatient Psychiatric Facilities Quality Reporting (IPFQR) Program data submission period is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, July 19 and end on Monday, Aug. 15, 2016, at 11:59 p.m. ET.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) acknowledged that this delayed start date will result in a shortened, four-week data submission period.  Due to the shortened submission period, CMS has:

  • Removed age strata and quarters from the QualityNet Secure Portal web-based data collection tool, significantly reducing data entry burden.
  • Provided screen shots and general data submission guidance via the IPFQR Program Manual dated June 7, 2016
  • Arranged for a step-by-step review of instructions on the data submission process during the upcoming IPFQR Program webinar.
